7th Hungarian Landscape Ecology Conference The Institute of Geography and Geology of the
Faculty
of Sciences and Informatics of the University of Szeged and the U-GEO
Foundation organises the 7th Hungarian Landscape Ecology Conference – Interdisciplinary
landscape research
in the 21st century between 25-27 May 2017. We cordially
invite to the conference all professionals working in the fields of
landscape
research and landscape planning, or any related fields dealing with
human
activity closely related to the landscape (e.g. nature conservation,
agriculture, water management, forestry, etc). The conference
aims to enable the exchange of experiences and networking of
professionals
(both theorists and practitioners) working in the different fields
related to
landscape ecology (e.g. geographers, ecologists, foresters, landscape
architects, water and agricultural engineers, public administration
employees,
decision makers ...). We hope to create an occasion for the
representatives of
all these professions to present their relevant results and the
practical
applicability of these results and to discuss the current challenges
and main
trends in landscape research. Based on the presentations, the materials
recommended by the Scientific Committee of the conference will be given
the
chance to be published in international and Hungarian scientific
journals. At the conference
the participants can present their results in plenary lectures and
thematic
sessions. The exact titles of the thematic sessions will be defined on
the
basis of the abstracts submitted with the applications. The preparation
of the
re-establishment of the Hungarian Chapter of the International
Association for
Landscape Ecology (IALE) will take place as a side event of the
conference. In
connection with this, one day of the conference will include plenary
lectures
held in English by renowned guests. At the end of the conference,
