IN MEMORIAN

Shortly after the first announcement letter of the conference, the main organiser of this year's meeting,

Prof. Dr. ANDREA FARSANG

passed away. The organizing committee decided to dedicate the conference and one of its sessions to her memory. The organisation of the conference will continue despite this tragic event, but both the deadlines for registration and the conference date should have been postponed in order to ensure that the event can be held to the traditional high standards.

THE AIMS OF THE CONFERENCE

are to present the latest results of environmental research in the Carpathian Basin and to discuss theoretical and practical problems. The conference also provides opportunity for initiating cooperation in international research activities, learning and experience for students in communication on international level in their field of research, and raising awareness in environmental problems, education and public understanding of research results.

THE MAIN TOPICS OF THE CONFERENCE

environmental geography, environmental geology, environmental informatics, environmental physics, environmental chemistry, ecology, built environment and territorial planning, waste management, renewable energy, environmental economics, agriculture and environment, nature protection, technology and environmental science, international and EU environmental politics, environmental education, Environmental Science and Studies in English.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Please prepare the abstracts in both Hungarian and English and submit them on the online registration form. The main text of the abstract should not exceed 300 words.

CONFERENCE PUBLICATIONS

Abstracts are published in printed form, identified by an ISBN number.

Authors will have the opportunity to publish the scientific results presented at the conference in a dedicated special issue of the Journal of Environmental Geography after the conference. If interested in publishing your paper in this format, please indicate this in the registration form. Please prepare manuscripts in accordance with the authors' guidelines available on the journal's website. The deadline for uploading manuscripts is 15^th May 2023.
